7th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance

The 7th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance is Thursday, November 17th to be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church. This event is being put together by Corpus Christi LGBT , Coastal Bend Trans Alliance Est. 2016 , and Trans Justice Funding Project. Sadly, 2022 has already seen at least 32 transgender people fatally shot or killed by other violent means. We say at least because too often these stories go unreported — or misreported. In previous years, the majority of these people were Black and Latinx trans women. Every year a candlelight vigil is held to support and honor transgender victims who have passed.
