Due to low rates of insurance coverage, discrimination, and a lack of cultural competency in the health care system, LGBTQIA+ people are at a higher risk for cancer, mental illnesses, and are more likely to smoke, abuse alcohol and drugs, and engage in other risky behaviors. Barriers to care often delay treatment until a condition is extremely difficult or even impossible to manage or cure.
By removing barriers to health services and closing the gap of disparities LGTBQIA+ persons face in receiving care, the Coastal Bend PRIDE Center and Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation programs can improve health outcomes for our loved ones and our community. CBWF is dedicated to providing the best health and wellness services that are sensitive to the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Services are available and affordable to everyone, with some services provided based on a sliding fee scale.

The Coastal Bend Pride Center invites you to the Rainbow Rodeo, an LGBTQ+ country dance night at the Ranch Dancehall! Grab your boots, dancing partner, and wear your best country outfit! Whether you are a Rhinestone Cowboy, Renaissance Diva, Dolly Parton Impersonator, Genderbending Fashion Icon, or just want to wear jeans and a t-shirt, all are welcome to come have fun with us! Music will range from country dance classics to today’s pop hits. There’s just a $5 cover charge, ages 18+ welcome. Save the date and we hope you can join us on Sep 25th at the Ranch Dancehall starting at 8pm for an exciting LGBTQ+ dance night!
General Admission tickets to the Gayla are currently available for everyone! All general admission ticket holders will be invited to a pre-reception in the Omni Foyer at 6:30pm for cocktails and will be provided dinner at 7:30pm. 🕺💃 We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the second annual Gayla, a festive evening of celebration and support for the LGBTQ+ community. This signature event will take place at the Omni Hotel in downtown Corpus Christi on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7 PM to 10 PM. This year’s theme will be a 70s Disco Party!!
All attendees will be provided a plated dinner provided by the Omni Hotel. There will be a silent auction, 360 photo booth, cash bars (21+ only), special guest performers, and of course a dance floor so we can get out there and have fun dancing to some groovy disco music!!!
✨ Plus, join us for an inspiring introduction to our 2024 scholarship recipients!
Sponsorship Opportunities: This year, we are seeking community partners to join us in making a substantial impact through sponsorships ranging from $500 to $10,000. Your support will directly fund the Coastal Bend Pride Center’s scholarship program, designed to assist LGBTQ+ students in their pursuit of higher education.
