National Transgender HIV Testing Day

National Transgender HIV Testing Day (NTHTD) is observed each year on April 18. It recognizes the importance of routine HIV testing, status awareness, and continued focus on HIV prevention and treatment efforts in people who are transgender or gender nonbinary.

In observance of this day the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation will be hosting a “Knowledge Now”
Thursday, April 18th, 5:30pm-7:30pm
2882 Holly Rd. inside the Community Room and is FREE to the public

Presentations: Our Clinic Medical Director, Dr. Rolando Perez will share valuable insights into the gender-affirming care they offer, promoting health and wellness within the transgender community. | Yara Green-Jordan will present on sexual health facts, statistics, data, and more. | Our Pride Center will present information about The Pride Center and their services. @Lush Cosmetics Northern American will be tabling sampling self care products.
Guest Speakers: Representatives from Human Rights Campaign and Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid’s LGBTQ+ Civil Rights Project will join us to shed light on their impactful initiatives, empowering low-income LGBTQ+ Texans.
