Out Professionals

Out Professionals is dedicated to LGBTQIA+ and ally business professionals ages 18 and up looking to connect and network within the Coastal Bend in a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space.

The group will host monthly mixers for established and aspiring LGBTQIA+ professionals, business owners, and representatives of supportive businesses. Whether you have recently graduated, started a new business, or are looking for a new career or job advancement, networking mixers are a great way to build relationships with other professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. Make new friends, form potential business connections, and support the Coastal Bend Pride Center!

Safe Zone Training Programs

Join other businesses

Training sessions are 2 – 3 hours each and will be led by CBWF staff who will provide comprehensive Safe Zone and Cultural Competency training to businesses and organizations that are interested in becoming a certified Safe Zone.

Training curriculum will cover topics such as LGBTQIA+ Cultural Competency, local community resources, terminology, relevant issues, and creating safe spaces for clients and co-workers in your workspace.

Safe Zone Training - Promote Inclusive Ethics

There is a pressure to already know how to be inclusive in today’s society. While many of us want to be, we may not necessarily feel comfortable with the language, with our own level of understanding, and may not know where to begin.

Safe Zone Training is a free program focused on developing and promoting standards of care and a code of ethics that is inclusive and supportive of your customers, co-workers, and neighbors in the LGBTQIA+ Community. The Safe Zone program builds a network of individuals, businesses and community organizations who support the Safe Zone mission and create welcoming spaces and experiences for all.
